This Portland couple session was actually in celebration of J&L’s 2nd anniversary! Every shoot I’m asked to do is an honor, but somehow this one felt extra special. Maybe its because we don’t even live in the Portland area anymore, but they still chose Jason and I to be a part of commemorating this special occasion. Or maybe its because their total comfort with each other spilled over to us and made this an insanely FUN session. Not one of these joyous pictures you are about to see was staged. Not one did I say, “fake laugh”. It was effortless.

I’m just giddy with all the bright and vivid colors filling my screen right now!
I will forever love getting back to my old stomping grounds and taking pictures. It gives me that joy of coming home.
When I look back on my career I think of every Portland couple session that molded and shaped my style and creativity. Without those years I wouldn’t be the artist I am today. I wouldn’t have made the friendships that I have made or the countless memories of coffee shops, parks, abandoned lots, city streets, mountain trails…this list goes on.
