When I arrived at Kristina and Mikes lovely home I knew that it was going to be a wonderful morning session. Newborn Sessions are one of the most beautiful and touching things I can be invited into. Those first few days with your newborn have to be such an exciting and overwhelming transition, but parents welcome me into their homes with open arms. Its amazing, people, amazing! Since moving here and picking up Columbus newborn photography, I have gotten to meet so many of these families and its a bigger blessing than I can express.
K & M made me feel like we had been friends for years from the moments they opened the door. I can’t tell you how comfortable I felt and thrilled as I looked around their beautiful home. The morning light was streaming in through the big windows and I was practically giddy with anticipation. I knew we were about to capture some once in a lifetime memories – and I was right.
Because then, I got to meet Ms. Morgan.
Isn’t she just a doll?! Those cheeks! That nose! Thats adorable eye creases! And that wrap mommy found?! #winning
Just look at this glowing mama! You know she has just been dying to snuggle that ball of sweetness for so long.
Their joy was contagious, guys. I couldn’t help but grin from ear to ear the whole session. Its a familiar feeling for me since starting Columbus newborn photography, simply because of the wonderful families I’ve met. Every one has been so focused on soaking in ever precious moment with their baby, and K & M were doing just that. Kristina informed me at the beginning of their session that she would just be looking at Morgan the whole time and if I wanted something else I’d need to let her know. I don’t think I asked her to look away too much…
Okay, just look at this look she is giving me?! I melted. She was so curious and alert for this small part of her session and it was perfect. Everyone loves sleeping baby pictures, but sometimes they look at you with those innocent eyes and you can’t help but melt into a puddle right there (and every time you look at the picture).
Kristina, Mike and Morgan,
Thank you for welcoming me into your home and allowing me to capture these sweet memories. This is why I do what I do: Its for the mornings like this. Its the adorable feet kisses. Its about celebrating you being a family of THREE for the first time. And its for the joy that I get to share when you see your pictures for the first time. May God bless you as you continue to grow sweet Morgan!
