A great big, huge, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU to Scott and Leah for letting me take them out for some engagement pictures! These two are tying the knot in just under 3 months and you can just see it in their smiles how excited they are to be spending their lives together. These two are the real deal, people, and as an Engagement Photographer, they were a dream to shoot! They are so genuine, ready to laugh and have some fun!
The three of us started at The Red Stable in German Village. This adorable shop sells the hand-made artwork of dozens of local artists and I loved poking around before our shoot. I think my Christmas shopping might be done early this year.
Next we headed over to Schiller Park, which to my immense delight, had blooming trees! My non-winter-loving-heart was overjoyed to see the pink and green buds everywhere. Am I the only one who is done with winter, despite the fact that this year has been so mild? This Pacific Northwest girl is ready for some spring showers!
I’m particularly excited for their weddings because I get to take on a different roll than usual as their coordinator! I love being an Wedding and Engagement Photographer, but for dear friends like them, I can’t wait to take on this new job and make it the best day ever. It’s going to be a magical June day!
This kind of shoot is what I hope for all my engaged couples. To get out on a beautiful afternoon, enjoy the sunshine (or rain or snow as the case may be) and have a wonderful time enjoying each other’s company…and hopefully they are having so much fun that they forget I’m there snapping away. Those are the best moments for me as a photographer and its always a pleasure to see and capture the love two people share. And for these two I know that it’s a love that springs from the life they have from God. And it doesn’t get better than that! Thank you for allowing me to be your engagement photographer, guys!
